What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. We request that you wear cocktail or full length dresses, and tuxes or dark suits.
The dress code for the welcome dinner is semi-casual (shorts are acceptable, t-shirts not so much).
Do you have any Covid-19 restrictions or requirements?
Regardless of CDC recommendations, we ask everyone to please be fully vaccinated (and up to date on boosters) at least two weeks prior to our wedding. For those who are unable to receive the vaccine, we ask for a negative Covid test no more than 48 hours prior to the weekend.
Will any part of the wedding be outdoors?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be hosted indoors at Sixty State Place.
What are in the entrees?
Chicken Ruggiero is stuffed with cheese and spinach.
Stuffed sole has a crabmeat stuffing.
The vegetarian entree is an Eggplant Rollatini.
How can I let you know about a food allergy or food restriction that needs to be accommodated for the day of?
Please make note of any food allergies or restrictions on your RSVP card, and/or email them to [email protected]. We will communicate them to the venue prior to the wedding day. The filet mignon and stuffed sole are gluten free.
Is there a shuttle from the hotels to the wedding venue?
The wedding venue is actually only a few city blocks from both hotels with room blocks! On foot, it should not take longer than 5 minutes to get to the venue. If you would like to drive, complimentary valet parking will be available at the venue.
A shuttle will be provided to the Welcome Dinner on Friday, departing from the Renaissance at 5:15pm. Orchard Creek Golf Club also has ample parking if you choose to drive.
Can I bring my kid(s)?
While we love your little ones, we can only accommodate family members specifically listed on your invitation. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Can I bring a plus-one?
We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Are there other wedding events I should know about?
The welcome dinner on Friday night and the farewell brunch on Sunday morning are open to all wedding attendees! Formal invitations will be sent in April, and you can RSVP at [email protected].
How do I get to Albany, NY?
Albany has an international airport that is only a few minutes by car from the hotels and wedding venue. Both the Renaissance and the Hilton offer complimentary airport shuttle service. Drive time from nearby cities are listed below:
Boston, MA - 2 hours 30 minutes
New York City, NY - 2 hours 45 minutes
Hartford, CT - 1 hour 45 minutes
What is the best/easiest way to site see and get around Albany?
Ridesharing and taxi’s are available in Albany, but generally car is the easiest way to get around. For information on parking, please see our Details page. Public transportation (city bus) are also available around the area.
